Matthew Wesley, JD, MDiv.
Matt catalyzes transformative shifts in family culture. His work with families spans a twenty-eight year career as an estate planning attorney and family advisor, facilitator and catalyst. He has effectively worked with iconic and billionaire families. His client families have had as many as 90 family members, but many are much smaller. Typically, his clients face significant challenges in preparing for generational transitions of wealth, enterprise or philanthropy. In other cases, client families face challenges that require the rapid development of trust, commitment and capacity.
Those who meet Matt quickly recognize that he views the world with uncommon wisdom and is fearless in breaking through the assumptions that bind individual and group performance. Before establishing The Wesley Group, Matt was a respected estate planning attorney with over twenty years of experience in both Seattle and the Bay Area. For the last ten years he has worked with highly successful families doing inter-generational planning. His clients have included those with successful family businesses, those who generated significant wealth in public companies and those with inherited wealth.
Matt lives near Seattle, Washington with his wife, Marcia. They have two grown children, Ian and Kiera.

Marcia Wesley, Psy.D.
Dr. Marcia Wesley is a licensed psychologist who has been actively practicing as a therapist since 1980. Marcia was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Sociology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, she obtained her marriage family and child counseling degree from Azusa Pacific University. Shortly thereafter she moved to Washington state where she developed a private practice and was eventually asked to direct a counseling center. During that period she engaged in intensive post graduate training in family therapy with the Child Guidance Clinic of Philadelphia. In 1985 she moved to the California Bay Area to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.
She obtained her doctorate in 1994 from the California Institute of Integral Studies, which supplemented a strong foundation in traditional western approaches to mental health with perspectives from other cultures and traditions. After obtaining her license, Marcia opened her own private practice where she counseled individuals, families and couples. Along with her private practice, she has been active in the community. Among her other accomplishments, she was the president of the Santa Clara County Psychological Association in 2000-2001.
